Broadcast Rental appoints Frank Steenbeek as COO

Broadcast Rental has announced that Frank Steenbeek is appointed as COO (Chief Operating Officer). Steenbeek (39) brings a vast knowledge of the business to Broadcast Rental. He has close to 20 years of experience in broadcasting and television production – most recently with Endemol Shine.

Worlds first: National Football Cup with 4 built-in camera’s

During the Dutch national cup final (KNVB Cup) on April 30 in the Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam, the KNVB Cup suddenly transformed into a live multicamera.

At the request of producer EndemolShine and Fox Sports, Broadcast Rental built four mini-cameras in the cup: three GoPro Hero 4 and a Marshall HD lipstick camera. The latter took care of the live images coming from the cup.

Broadcast Rental acquires BP Satellite Solutions

Dutch professional AV rental equipment company Broadcast Rental announced it will acquire BP Satellite Solutions. The latter operates in the high-end broadcast industry and is specialised in satellite and AV connections. The company is primarily involved in broadcasting Formula 1 races around the world. The two companies will continue to operate under their own brand names and BP Satellite Solutions founder and CEO Patrick Hendriks of BP Satellite Solutions will remain fully involved in the new market combination.
