When innovation feels like a second nature you sometimes feel yourself ahead of the market. With the introduction of the first full frame camera setup in a MOVI rig 12 years ago Broadcast Rental made a huge step forward in working with filmic camera's in a wireless live setup. One of the great examples was the opening of the match Feyenoord - Ajax back in 2015.
After many years and many succesfull matches and events it was time for the next step. Making the MOVI-Ben setup even better with a more advanced setup, based around a new camera and fully HDR.

Teaming up with Videosys
After 12 years it was time for the next step. When more and more broadcasters wanted an HDR workflow, Broadcast Rental felt it was time to change the camera to a Sony FX6 in order to accommodate these developments. By teaming the Sony FX6 with a MOVI Rig, broadcasters can now capture filmic shots with real depth of field, stunning AF performance and superb cinematic expression without compromising on the control offered by larger, heavier and less flexible broadcast camera systems.
Making the Sony FX6 work seamless in a multicamera live workflow took some special approach. Camera's like the Sony FX6 are usually not designed to be integrated in a multi camera setup, therefore wireless camera control is tricky. Videosys was once again the right team of specialists to team up with to develop a custom solution.

Promising future
With the soft launch at the end of may during the final of the Holland Veterans foutball tournament the end product is fully ready and operational to perform in a live HD, HDR multi camera setup. The first results were so succesful that Broadcast Rental will now be deploying the new MOVI Ben setup across numerous football matches the upcoming seasons, like the Dutch games for UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europe League and UEFA Conference League.
