Grip

The Vinten Vector 700 and 700H pan and tilt heads are designed for studio and outside broadcast (OB) use and will support a variety of camera, lens and prompter combinations up to 70 kg (154 lb) in weight. The unique counterbalance system enables payloads with centre of gravity (C of G) heights from 80 mm (3 in.) to 200 mm (8 in.) for Vector 700 and 80 mm (3 in.) to 250 mm (10 in.).Drag is provided by the Vinten thin-film (TF) system which provides stepless adjustment of drag. A wide variation of the drag setting to suit operator preference is available on both pan and tilt axes and ‘whip’ movements may be executed irrespective of drag setting. The pan and tilt axes are each provided with a brake. The head is fitted with a sliding plate giving a large range of fore and aft adjustment. This adjustment can be extended by moving a wedge adaptor to one of three positions on the sliding plate.

Offering the most extensive height range available from heavy duty tripods the HDT-1 single-stage and HDT-2 two-stage models also feature increased torsional rigidity and robustness – ideal for large camera and lens combinations in any studio or OB application.The pinned and glued telescopic leg design provides a wide range of height adjustment whilst offering superior strength and reliability. Set up has been made even simpler with the addition of engraved leg markings for rapid, even deployment and an integral level bubble allows for fine level adjustment. The new clamping system provides progressive feel to a positive stop which indicates when the leg is locked, ensuring simple and confident clamping.

The HDLA-1505 allows operation of the HDC-1500 HD portable camera or HDC-3300 SuperMotion camera together with large studio/OB lenses and LCD viewfinders. Unlike traditional lens “build-up kits”, the HDLA-1505 provides a very simple one-touch cable-free mounting of the camera so that it can be quickly and easily converted from hand-held to tripod configuration.

The Canon lens support system let’s you use ENG/EFP type cameras together with Canon box lenses.
